Biography

Rostyslav Voronko was born in 1973 in Radyvyliw, Rivne region, Ukraine. From an early age, he showed a deep passion for art and creative expression.

Education and Early Career

In 1992, he graduated from Vocational School No. 17 in Lviv as a restorer of decorative, artistically painted surfaces. He then studied at the Lviv National Academy of Arts in the Department of Decorative and Applied Arts. In 1998, he successfully defended his diploma thesis with the ceramic relief “Cranes”, created for a Ukrainian school in Przemyśl, Poland.

Professional Career

From 1999 to 2010, Rostyslav Voronko worked as a visual artist at the Cultural and Educational Center in Beeskow, Germany. At the same time, from 2003 to 2004, he was employed at the Lviv National Academy of Arts in Ukraine.

Since 2006, he has been living and working as a freelance artist and restorer in Beeskow, Germany. His restoration projects include:

  • Work on pulpit altars and organ façades in Krügersdorf, Hohenwalde, Görsdorf, Tauche, and Giesensdorf
  • In 2011 he restored and gilded the inscription panel “Deo et Ecclesiae” above the entrance to the rectory in Beeskow

Artistic Work

In 2014, Rostyslav Voronko opened his own art studio in the district town of Beeskow, where he continues to pursue his artistic passion. His works combine traditional techniques with contemporary themes, reflecting a deep connection to nature and human emotions. All of his artworks bear the signature “Р.Воронко / P. BOPOHKO” in Ukrainian script, emphasizing his heritage and artistic identity.

Current Activities

Since 2016, he has also been working as a restorer at the Art Archive in Beeskow. Alongside his restoration work, he devotes himself to his own art, which has been showcased in numerous exhibitions in Germany and abroad.

His works are distinguished by a unique fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern interpretation.
